The animated title of Sonic The Hedgehog 2, as seen in the tweet above, strongly hints on the appearance of Tails. The trusty sidekick of the blue hedgehog actually appeared in the first movie if you stayed for the post-credits scene. He even demonstrated his signature twin-tailed helicopter flying style.
Besides Tails appearing at the end of the movie, another loose end is Jim Carrey’s Dr. Robotnik. Despite his defeat to sonic, the villain is still alive and kicking in an alien mushroom-infested planet. Regardless, with Tails travelling to Earth and Dr. Robotnik transported to god knows where, space or dimensional travel definitely seems to be a thing in the sequel.
To those who need a refresher, Miles Prower, better known as Tails, is one of the earliest characters who appeared in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. As Sonic’s sidekick, Tails appeared in many of the Sonic games, even being the main character of a few spin-offs.
