Sonic Prime, the latest Sonic TV series will be premiering on Netflix on the 15th of December, 2022.
This was revealed on the official Sonic The Hedgehog Twitter channel alongside a new trailer for the show:

Here’s Netflix’s description of the show: “The action-packed adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog go into overdrive when a run-in with Dr. Eggman results in a literal universe-shattering event. Desperate to piece his prime reality back together and save his old friends, Sonic races through the Shatterverse, discovering strange worlds and enlisting new friends in an epic adventure of a lifetime!”
Here are the currently confirmed cast members for the series:
- Deven Mack as Sonic the Hedgehog
- Brian Drummond as Dr. Eggman
- Ashleigh Ball as Miles “Tails” Prower
- Adam Nurada as Knuckles the Echidna
- Shannon Chan-Kent as Amy Rose
- Ian Hanlin as Shadow the Hedgehog, Big the Cat
- Kazumi Evans as Rouge the Bat
The new series will be premiering shortly after the launch of the latest Sonic the Hedgehog video game, Sonic Frontiers on November 8th. This year also saw the release of the movie Sonic The Hedgehog 2. It is certainly a good year for fans of the blue blur.
Sonic Prime will begin airing on Netflix on December 15th.
The video game, Sonic Frontiers will release on November 8th for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
