Solo Leveling Season 2 Announced

Solo Leveling will no longer be a solo season as Aniplex confirms the future release of Season 2 with a new trailer.

Officially titled “Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-“, the announcement was made immediately after the end of Episode 12’s airing in Japan.

The trailer hints to the next stage of Sung Jinwoo’s development, both in terms of abilities and appearance. Fans are also speculating that based on where the first season left off, this cour will mostly be covering the Red Gate Arc from the manhua.

Although no release date has been announced yet, Crunchyroll has confirmed that it will be streaming on its platform when it airs.

Alongside the trailer, Crunchyroll a new character art for Igris who made his debut in Episode 11, although it remains to be seen whether this visual will imply his appearance for the next season.

Solo Leveling is based on the manhua adaptation of light novel series written by Chugong and h-goon and illustrated by the late artist DUBU, which ran from March 2018 and ended in December 2021. Spanning 200 chapters, the story follows hunter Sung Jinwoo as he gains a mysterious ability called System that enables him to accept quests and level up.
