We finally have a more concrete look at the Solo Leveling game from Netmarble, with a playable demo of Solo Leveling: Arise having been showcased at G-STAR 2022. There’s also a promotional video that you can watch below:
A pre-registration event on the Solo Leveling: Arise official website has since ended, though it should only be applicable for South Korean residents anyway. People would be able to get earbuds and a boxed set of the web novel series, as the pricier goods. There’s a voting event where you can choose two of your favourite characters to enter a giveaway too.
Some of the features of the game include:
- Story Mode: Follow Sung Jin-Woo in his rise from being the weakest “Hunter”, to one who undergoes the titular ‘solo leveling’
- Hunter Mode: Utilizing Hunters from various guilds
- Time Attack Mode: A challenge mode to defeat an enemy as quickly as possible
The game is an action RPG where characters have four different skills, where you’re meant to switch between the ones in your party and use their abilities to take on the enemies before you. The game itself is still in development, with no news on when it’s due to release. With the other adaptations of this series also in the pipeline, that could tide you over before the game launches.
