A Snowbreak: Containment Zone staff responds to criticisms regarding the game’s focus on the “male gaze” and recently answered questions about the game. Snowbreak: Containment Zone is an anime sci-fi RPG third person shooter that is available for Android, iOS as well as PC through Epic Games Store and Steam.

In a recent interview, the Japanese staff member known as “P” shared his thoughts on people criticizing the game and its content catering too much to the “male gaze” and what the team’s thoughts were.

These distractions won’t do anything to shake our original goal. We still want to listen to the needs of our players and fulfill their needs. We believe that our sincere, hard work will elicit a positive response from players. So we prefer to not comment on any outside opinions, and I believe no one has the right to decide what is right and wrong in creative endeavors.

Snowbreak has also previously cut its English dub last year after evaluating voice-over preferences of players. English voice actors of the game have previously stated they refused to work with Snowbreak over its fanservice. However, fans responded positively to this due to their preference for the Japanese dub and have considered the lack of an English dub a small price to pay for an uncensored game which had its age rating updated.
