Developer SNK revealed a teaser trailer of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves at EVO 2023, giving us a first look at the new fighting game.
The console platforms on which the game will be available and its release date are not been announced yet, but the teaser trailer states that Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is currently “furiously in development”.
The new entry in the Fatal Fury series was first announced to be greenlit back in last year’s EVO, August 2022, accompanied only by an artwork by SNK illustrator, Tonko.
Now, during EVO 2023, SNK has revealed the game’s official title, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and a teaser trailer that gave us a short glimpse of fighters Rock Howard and Terry Bogard in action.
The teaser trailer also teases other potential fighters with their voices scattered throughout the video, such as lines that assumably sounded like Andy Bogard, Mai Shiranui, B. Jenet, Billy Kane, and more.
Additionally, the teaser trailer also revealed that the game will take place across numerous locations within South Town, marking the map with locales such as Geese Tower, National Park, Live House “Old Line”, and so on.
This will be the first Fatal Fury since 1999, after more than 20 years since its previous installment, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, as such a long-anticipated sequel for fans of the series.
As previously mentioned, no platforms and release dates have been announced yet, so for updates, be sure to have a lookout at SNK’s official Twitter.
