Slam Dunk animated movie announced for Fall 2022 release

A Slam Dunk animated movie has been announced for Fall 2022. From what little we can expect, the Slam Dunk movie will be releasing in Japan first come Fall 2022, then to international audiences some time after. Going by the teaser on Toei Animation’s Youtube channel, the name and its release date is still to be determined.

Slam Dunk is a sports manga series by Takehiko Inoue, centered around a basketball team from Shouhoku High School. 2021 marks its 31st anniversary since its original debut publication in 1990. As with many old, popular series, Slam Dunk has a mobile game of its own from DeNA.

For now, there’s not much information of what this movie will entail, so stay tuned.
