Skull Girls is a 2D fighting game which first made its debut for the consoles in 2012. The game has been onto many other consoles and platform and now they are making their way into the mobile world. With over 50,000 copies of the game sold, the game might set a new record on the number of downloads.
Check out their trailer:
Just like some of the fighter games like Street Fighter or King of Fighters, there’s a story to it. Players can play its story mode that has some RPG elements in it. The art style is one to be mentioned as they resemble just like one of our favourite IP, Marvel VS Capcom. There’s also a tag team battle which allows you to bring along other characters for switching in between fights, strategically of course.
Skull Girls is free to play with collectible items which you can gain to upgrade your characters as you progress further into the story. There’s also an auto-fight mode which allows for more flexible strategies during fights.
From the looks of it, the game is set to be launched between this month, March and April. The game will be published by LINE, the messaging app. Skull Girls looks great with it’s artistic style and move sets. This would be one of the games that will be in my mobile for a couple of months at least.
