Those who are still playing Yoko Taro’s fairy tale-themed smartphone RPG SINoALICE recently gotten a New Year’s greeting and a very honest message thanking everyone who the 100 million installs.

The puppets starts by talking about the 100 million installs, while expressing to gratitude to those who rerolled. The game then thanked those who actually played, and that number is 3 million. Hilarious and sad at the same time, one wonders if Yoko Taro himself wrote the message. Plagued by downtime and prolonged maintenance periods at the start of its life, SINoALICE finally found its footing in the market as a solid mobile RPG with exceptional writing. Despite some flaws pertaining to gameplay itself, SINoALICE is an enjoyable experience for fans of works by Yoko Taro as he reinterprets classic fairytale characters.
