A Rocky Road for the Sleeping Dogs Movie
Originally announced in 2017, the Sleeping Dogs film was set to star Donnie Yen as undercover cop Wei Shen. While a movie adaptation had been in the works for years, set to star Donnie Yen, but Yen revealed recently that the film was officially a no-go.
With Liu now taking the reins, fans may finally see Sleeping Dogs make its way to theaters. However, as with any video game adaptation, the road ahead remains uncertain. Whether Liu can succeed where Yen struggled remains to be seen, but his enthusiasm could be the spark that revives this long-dormant project.
