Simon Belmont and Alucard From Castlevania Rise Again As Fighters in Brawlhalla

Ubisoft announced at their recent forward showcase that classic Castlevania characters Simon Belmont and Alucard will be coming to Brawlhalla on October 19th just in time for Halloween.

These Castlevania characters will act as skins for two pre-existing characters in Brawlhalla.

Simon Belmont is an Epic Crossover for Jhala. He is a prominent vampire hunter from the 17th century, and he is often referred to as the most famous vampire hunter of all time. He belongs to the ancestral Belmont Clan, and he is the heir to the renowned Vampire Killer whip.

Alucard is an Epic Crossover for Ezio. He is the son of series antagonist Dracula, the most iconic vampire of all time. The name Alucard, Dracula’s name in reverse, is a representation of how he stands against his father’s evil beliefs. Alucard is an adept swordsman who uses dark magic to fight his father’s wrath.

Both characters are considered video game icons in their own right. Simon is the protagonist of the first two Castlevania games. Meanwhile, Alucard first appeared in Castlevania 3 and later became the main character in Castlevania: Symphony of The Night often considered the best game in the series and one of the best games of all time.

This isn’t the series’ first appearance in a platform fighter either as Castlevania previously crossed over with Super Smash Bros Ultimate. This included Simon as a playable character, Alucard as an assist trophy, and Dracula as a boss.

Brawlhalla is available for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, Mac, and Mobile devices.
