Relic Entertainment and SEGA Europe have announced Company of Heroes 3, and the availability of a Pre-Alpha Preview for the game! The next instalment of the critically acclaimed strategy franchise will be coming to PC in 2022. Fans can opt in to the official Company of Heroes website to join CoH-Development and access the Pre-Alpha Preview through Steam.
The preview is powered by Amplitude Studios’ Games2Gether platform, and will be giving you a glimpse at the campaign experience. You can sign up for free to get exclusive insights into the development of the game as well as share your feedback. You can link your Steam account today and try out the build until 2 August, 19:00 PDT / 3 August, 03:00 BST.
Company of Heroes 3 brings you to the Mediterranean, across various vistas from Italian mountain passes to harsh North African deserts. Authentic new features enhance the game for the deepest tactical experience yet, powered by the Essence Engine 5, the latest evolution of Relic’s proprietary real-time strategy technology.
The Dynamic Campaign map will see players command ground, air and naval forces and build supply lines as they lead the Allies’ campaign to retake mainland Italy from entrenched Axis forces. Your choices here affect not only battle outcomes, but the story of the war itself. Full Tactical Pause in single-player modes gives you a new level of tactical control over pacing. Freeze the action and coordinate your moves at once without the pressure of doing it in real time.
“We’re really excited for players to experience Company of Heroes 3 right from the pre-alpha stage and to receive their valuable feedback. We’ve been co-developing the game with some of our fantastic community members for years now, and they have been instrumental in providing consistent and meaningful feedback at every step of the development process.
We are ready to expand that program in a massive way with our fans around the world via our CoH-Development program, which has been made possible by Amplitude Studios™’ superb Games2Gether platform.”
