TERA Origin, an upcoming MMO action RPG by Netmarble, will be holding a Closed Beta Test (CBT) soon. The developer wants to recruit 10,000 players to help test the game.
News of this game first surfaced in February 2019, before it was confirmed as TERA Origin in April 2019. Although it is a spin-off title of TERA, it will retain the core gameplay of the PC MMORPG. Long-time fans of the series can expect a game with the races and locations from TERA, but now with more action-oriented game mechanics.
According to the game’s website, there will be six playable classes available. They are Priest, Archer, Fighter, Slayer, Alchemist, and Lancer. There will also be ‘Ravens’ in the game, a special race that can be attached to your character to improve certain stats. Each Raven has a different element and will confer that element to your character when attached.
Netmarble hasn’t shown much else of the game yet. However, we do know that there will be 3v3 team battles and 50v50 guild battles.
The signup period for the CBT runs from 14 June to 2 July 2019 and will be open to 5,000 Android users and 5,000 iOS users, for a total of 10,000 beta testers. While the dates for the CBT haven’t been confirmed, the sign-up page states that it will be within July.
