Sid Meier’s Civilization VII – VR Is Coming to Meta Quest 3 and 3S This April

2K and Firaxis Games have announced that their reimagined VR 4X turn-based strategy video game, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII – VR is releasing globally on the Meta Quest 3 and 3S VR headsets exclusively this April 10. Pre-orders of the game are also available starting today!

Developed by PlaySide Studios alongside Firaxis Games, Civilization VII – VR includes the same strategy based gameplay fans would expect from the franchise while also offering a unique mixture of virtual reality and mixed reality into the game.

Enjoy the process of worldbuilding from a unique perspectives, from viewing buildings from high above the map to diving down under to inspect and observe the finer details of every unit and architectural masterpiece built.

One-on-Ones With Visionary Leaders

War Tables will be full with many iconic world leaders, where they will react to alliances or declarations of war. The players empire’s best interests lies in their own hands as they will interact face-to-face with leaders in the new Diplomacy Chamber.

Virtual Empire Meets Reality

The new interface designed for Meta Quest 3 and 3S allows the player to be able to reach out and take control, letting players shift viewpoints at their own will and with dynamic mixed reality bring the War Table to their surroundings.

Divide, Conquer or Cooperate

Player can choose to play solo or compete in an online multiplayer mode which can match up to three other players on Meta Quest 3 and 3S. Online multiplayer must require an Internet connection, a 2K Account within the minimum age and a Meta account.

Scroll through the Archives and bask in the history and achievements made throughout hours of worldbuilding. There is a virtual space where the heights of the players own empire’s are kept as dioramas in which they can view anytime they wish via VR.
