Raphael descends into That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Memories, but is the skill turned playable character worth pulling for? Officially known within the game as [Lord of Wisdom] Rimuru Tempest, players would unfortunately not be able to walk around town dressed as this new “Rimuru”.
Following the theme of this month, Raphael is a water-element unit who deals magical damage. Thankfully, the Lord of Wisdom has a single-target Secret Skill, much preferable to a multi-target one. Stat-wise, it leans towards having higher HP.
Raphael’s first skill is a 1-turn 40% (45%) DEF debuff on all enemies that comes with a 2-turn 30% pierce power buff at a cost of 65 (55) skill points. Its second skill is a Soul Change which converts 1 Soul of Secrets into 1 Soul of Skills at a cost of 25 (15) skill points.
Raphael is a pretty solid unit. 40% DEF debuff is incredibly potent against high DEF enemies and is the biggest DEF debuff in the game. The pierce power self-buff does require a bit more thought into teambuilding as it needs to be paired with sources of pierce rate increase.
All in all, Raphael is a great unit in Slime ISEKAI Memories. While it’s definitely not game-breaking or top tier, Raphael will easily fit into many team compositions thanks to its amazing debuff.
