Shine Post idol mix media project announced by Konami

Konami has just announced Shine Post, its latest multimedia project focused around idols which will include an anime, light novel, live concerts and of course, a smartphone spinoff.

The project has kicked off with the first volume of the light novel authored by Rakuda and published by Kadokawa’s Dengeki Bunko label on 8 October 2021. The anime will meanwhile be broadcasted sometime in summer 2022 and overseen by legendary director Kei Oikawa and Studio Kai.

As for the game itself, it will focus on the members of the TINGS unit, and unlike most games of its ilk, there will be focus on raising and management. Konmai has promised that the game will boast a new experience with the latest technology, although details of what the entails were not disclosed.

Idol multimedia projects are a dime and a dozen, so it it will be interesting to see what Konmai will bring to the tablet. At first glance there does not seem to be anything particular which stands out, but if Konmai of all parties have greenlit the project, it must have a lot of faith in it.
