SHIFT UP has officially announced plans to bring their action RPG Stellar Blade to PC in 2025, as revealed during the company’s Q3 2024 earnings report Q&A session. The game, which initially launched as a PlayStation 5 exclusive on April 26, 2024, has maintained steady sales performance following its initial release period.
“We’re aiming for a 2025 release,” SHIFT UP stated during the Q&A. “Given recent trends like Steam’s growing presence in the AAA games market and the global success of Black Myth: Wukong, we are expecting the PC version to perform even better than the console version.”
The developer’s optimistic outlook for the PC version reflects the platform’s growing importance in the AAA games market. According to SHIFT UP, sales of the PlayStation 5 version have “remained steady even as the initial surge has calmed.” Meanwhile, PlayStation 5 players can look forward to the game’s latest update and a NieR: Automata crossover DLC, scheduled for release on November 20. This continues SHIFT UP’s post-launch support for the title on its original platform.
Stellar Blade joins a growing list of former PlayStation exclusives making their way to PC, reflecting the ongoing trend of console publishers expanding their games to the PC market.
