C2C Co. has confirmed Shangri-La Frontier for a 2nd season which will air from October 2024 and will run for 2 cours.
After airing Episode 25 in Japan, C2C Co. announced that Season 2 is currently under production with a new trailer posted in the anime’s official YouTube channel.
The trailer released with the announcement hints of main character Sunraku’s next adventure as he is offered the chance to discover the secret of the game “Shangri-La Frontier”.
At the same time, Crunchyroll has also confirmed that the anime will be streamed on its platform when it airs.
A new visual has also been posted on the Japanese version of the official website, featuring Sunraku and some of the other characters from the first season.
Shangri-La Frontier is an adaptation of the web novel of the same name written by Katarina which debuted on May 2017. The first season was directed by Toshiyuki Kubooka from C2C, with series composition by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, character designs by Ayumi Kurashima and music by MONACA.
The story follows the adventures of “crap game hunter” Rakuro Hizutome, also known as Sunraku as he explores the world of Shangri-La Frontier, equipped with his experience from all his previous games.
