Cygames had unveiled a new free-to-play card battler in the Shadowverse card game series titled “Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond”.
The latest entry in the card game series, Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond is planned for a summer 2024 release for iOS, Android, and Windows PC.
The game was announced during the Shadowverse Next 2024 event and Cygames noted that the title serves as a direct sequel to the original Shadowverse.
This new entry will have many features new to the series, such as a lobby system that allows players to move around with custom avatars and engage in card battles with other players.
Not only that, players can play mahjong, kick around a giant soccer ball, and go fishing, among other activities in the new lobby.
Multiple language support is also currently planned for Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, including languages from Asia, Europe, and North America.
Aside from that, the game will introduce new battle mechanics such as Super Evolution, Engage, and new Amulet abilities.
In the announcement, tournaments for the card game are also being planned for 2024, including the RAGE Shadowverse Pro Tour as well as both online and in-store tournaments in Japan.
Overseas players will also get to participate in tournaments through the Shadowverse NetEase Championship, Shadowverse Korea Open, Shadowverse Taiwan Open, and Shadowverse Open West/SEAO.
