During the Summer Game Fest 2024, Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed LEGO Horizon Adventures as the first announcement of the show, bringing Aloy into the world of plastic bricks.
The game will be available for the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Stores. It will launch sometime holiday in 2024, with no exact release date revealed yet.
LEGO Horizon Adventures is a new isometric action-adventure title that crosses Guerilla Games’ Horizon series with LEGO, and we once again follow Aloy in her adventures against the machines. It was being co-developed by Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo.
The title will feature couch co-op with up to two players, with one player controlling Aloy and another controlling various allies of Aloy she met throughout Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West.
There also appears to be base customization in Mother’s Heart with players able to build various buildings LEGO-style, as well as various costumes for Aloy and her friends.
The Horizon series first launched in 2017 with Horizon Zero Dawn and is Guerilla Games’s first IP since Killzone in 2024. The game garnered a lot of attention during its initial reveals for its unique post-apocalyptic setting ruled by robotic creatures that resemble dinosaurs.
Its release was praised by critics, winning numerous awards and sold over 24.3 million units by April 2023, spawning a sequel in 2022 with Horizon Forbidden West, which also met with generally positive reviews.
