[SGF24] Capcom’s Kunitsu-Gami: Path of Goddess Gets Release Date, Launching Soon 

The Japanese folklore-inspired action game Kunitsu-Gami: Path of Goddess by Capcom, now has a release date and is coming out very soon.

As revealed as part of today’s Summer Game Fest 2024, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of Goddess is set to launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, as well as Xbox Game Pass, on July 19, 2024.

The release date announcement was accompanied by a new trailer that highlights its fantastical action gameplay and its bizarre yet oddly beautiful monsters.

This new IP from Capcom explores a world where the land is spreading blight and spawning evil spirits known as the Seethe.

Thus, comes the protagonist Soh, who by day, will rescue and recruit villagers, and at night, defend the village with his newfound allies against a sieging horde of Seethe.

The game has an emphasis on strategy with tower defense-like elements, where players must balance their skills by asking villagers to don masks that grant unique effects, and the goal is to carve a patch of Yoshiro, the titular goddess before the Seethe overwhelms her.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of Goddess was revealed in June 2023 at last year’s Xbox Game Showcase with a release window of 2024 at the time, now the game has a solid release date of July 19, 2024.
