[SGF23] Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Releases Late October

During the Summer Game Fest 2023, Insomniac Games have announced the release date of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which launches 20th October 2023.

Aside from revealing the new box cover art for the game, Bryan Intihar, Creative Director at Insomniac Games mentions that Kraven in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is not powered by magic or tech, but “The Best Hunter in the World”.

Bryan also mentions that the fan-favourite Venom will not be Eddie Brock, but something different that fans has not seen in both the comics and movies.

Revealed back in the PlayStation Showcase, the Symbiote feature will be a prominent gameplay mechanic in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Bryan goes into more detail regarding it, calling the Symbiote the “Acrobatic Improviser” where the gameplay feels more varied, giving Peter a lot more strength and aggression.

The map in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was also revealed to be double in size, as compared to the previous entry featuring Queens, Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Several Editions for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have been revealed, along with its Southeast Asian pricing.

Finally, ending off the segment was the reveal of the release date of the highly anticipated game, which originally was slated for a Fall 2023 release window. It’s now been confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be releasing on 20th October 2023 exclusively on PlayStation 5.
