Missing its original 2019 release, Seven Knights 2 launches in South Korea 18 November 2020, taking quite a massive departure in terms of art style and gameplay from the first game. Developed in Unreal Engine 4, the game takes place 20 years after the first game, featuring both returning characters and new ones made for the game.
Seven Knights 2 is also a 3D MMORPG instead of the 2D plane turn-based RPG of the original. The story is part of the draw, of course. With 46 characters available at launch, you’ll have to pick the best four for your team, being able to control one character at a time and being able to swap out reminiscent of Genshin. You also have the option to choose between manual and auto play!
As this is now an open world MMORPG, you’ll be able to encounter other players in the overworld. Story quests are limited to solo play with your party, but you can still communicate with the players you see. Boss raids will accommodate up to 8 players at a time, but if you want to play online multiplayer, you’ll only be able to pick your main and control one character. PvP features a 4 on 4 battle, for those who want to give that a shot.
We’ll have to see when Seven Knights 2 launches in other territories outside of South Korea, which will hopefully be soon enough in the future.
