SEGA is set to make history with the grand opening of its flagship store SEGA STORE SHANGHAI on May 1, 2025, marking the company’s first permanent official retail location worldwide. The store will be housed in the Bailian ZX in central Shanghai, transforming the successful pop-up shop that operated at the same location from January 25 to March 15 into a fully upgraded permanent establishment.

According to Wanuxi, the flagship store will showcase 12 of SEGA’s most iconic gaming franchises, creating an immersive interactive space for fans. Visitors can expect to see displays featuring beloved SEGA properties including “Sonic the Hedgehog,” the “Yakuza/Like a Dragon” series, and ATLUS’s “Persona” franchise. Other highlighted IPs include “SHINOBI Counterattack Slash,” “Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage,” “Super Monkey Ball,” “Puyo Puyo,” “Sakura Wars,” “Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance,” and “Metaphor Fantasy.”

Beyond merchandise, SEGA STORE SHANGHAI will feature dedicated interactive experience areas allowing visitors to try games and engage with specially designed photo opportunities. These elements aim to recreate the excitement of arcade halls while showcasing next-generation entertainment possibilities.
