The recently opened SEGA Singapore is now hiring two new positions in Marketing Manager and Community Manager for the company.
Both job listings can be found over at Lance Teo’s (who was recently appointed as General Manager at SEGA Singapore) LinkedIn profile. However, as of time of writing, they are no longer accepting applicants for the Marketing Manager role. But the fact that SEGA Singapore are opening job applications for both Marketing and Community Manager roles means that they are planning on expanding the Singapore Branch further.
This could mean that Southeast Asian fans might potentially see local events related to SEGA pop up in the near future. Given how SEGA Singapore is looking for Marketing and Community Managers, this is to better communicate with partners in the SEA region; thus potentially having more opportunities to have local events in the SEA region. While this is all just speculation, it’s fair to bring up some examples where it might happen. With HoYoverse opening a new headquarters in Singapore, they hosted the waypoint event across SEA.
Sony Interactive Entertainment Singapore also had several instances with SEA focused events such as the God of War: Ragnarök exhibition event; along with the most recent Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 installation.
It is now very common for game publishers to choose Singapore as their central hub in Southeast Asia, with companies such as Bandai Namco Entertainment, THQ Nordic, and Netease to name a few.
