Sea of Dawn is an upcoming open world, mobile MMORPG published by Changyou, will be having a collaboration with Johnny Depp. Changyou has been working with Johnny Depp since 2021 to release a short film as part of a promotional campaign for Sea of Dawn as well, so something for fans to look forward to.
The shooting and post production for the short film has been completed, with the MMORPG soon to go into live service. As you can see from the promotional image, it’s been six months since the conclusion of shooting, with post production taking about 6 months.
Sea of Dawn has a blended setting of 15th to 17th century history and fantasy, in which players will be able to sail the high seas. Control your warship on the oceans! If you’re more of a landlubber, you’ll have a different set of abilities there. Ply your trade across the world and explore the romanticism of sea voyage of the past.
Sea of Dawn will first be launching in China, with the film collaboration just the start of the campaign. Stay tuned for the full version of the film and wait on more news for a global release sometime in the future, whenever it will be.
