Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced another mobile game featuring the Mobile Suit Gundam IP, titled SD Gundam G Generation Eternal.
No release date was given for the game, though Bandai Namco Entertainment says you can expect a beta test soon.
SD Gundam G Generation Eternal is a tactical RPG, which focuses on letting you build a squad of iconic Gundam characters from across the various timelines in the Gundam universe.
These include mainline UC characters such as the original RX78-2 Gundam, as well as alternate universes such as the fan favorite Shining Gundam from G Gundam as well as the Freedom Gundam from SEED.
It should be noted that unlike the previous strategy game released for mobile, it looks like Generation Eternal won’t be an auto battler, and will actually have you controlling your mobile suits in a grid-based battle system.
Meanwhile these mobile suits will also have special attacks, granting you flashy cinematics as they use their signature abilities.
Similar to Gundam UC Engage, it looks like a big appeal for Generation Eternal will also be its story mode, which will let you experience the stories of all the different universes the series pulls from.
These include popular mainline series such as Mobile Suit Gundam, as well as manga stories such as Gundam X and alternate timelines like Gundam 00 or Iron-Blooded Orphans.
