Bandai has announced SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays Platinum Edition in Japan for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
The games will be released in Japan on March 25th for 5980 Yen, and will include paid DLC for the vanilla Cross rays game.
This includes the season pass for the game, which contains several additional Dispatch missions to play through. These are all based on different Gundam properties, and such as Turn A Gundam and Gundam X.
Additionally, the game will also come with the Expansion Pack, which adds new character abilities as well as a new difficulty mode, Inferno. In addition to those, the pack also adds new missions, such as one featuring the Mobile Armor from Iron-Blooded Orphans, Hashmal. It also adds new characters exclusive to the G Generation series, such as Aphrodite and Code Amelias.
SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays Platinum Edition is the definitive edition of the the Cross Rays game, which is a tactics crossover involving all the various characters under the Gundam umbrella. Cross Rays originally released in 2019 on PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch, and featured characters from the most recent Gundam anime not part of their Build Fighters sub-franchise, Iron Blooded Orphans.
While the announcement was for Japan only, the game’s original release made its way to the SEA region via Japanese audio with English subtitles, so fans looking to pick up the definitive edition should standby for a future announcement by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
