Upcoming action game Scarlet Nexus has announced a slew of new details, including the game’s release date as well as the launch window for its anime tie-in.
According to Bandai Namco Entertainment, Scarlet Nexus’ release date is 24th June for PS4/PS5, as with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC getting it a day later on 25th June.
Similarly, the game’s anime tie-in will also be releasing in Summer 2021.
In addition, Bandai Namco Entertainment have also put out a new trailer for Scarlet Nexus, showing off the new character Kasane. Kasane isn’t a party member, but rather is a wholly new playable protagonist. You’ll be able to choose to start your adventure as either Yuito or Kasane, with her sharing the same psychokinesis as Yuito.
She’ll have a wholly different set of party members to team up with, meaning the characters will have different ability sets based on who you choose. Her story also seems to be more serious than Yuito, who comes from a more prestigious family.
It looks like at least once in the game Yuito and Kasane will butt heads, as the trailer shows the two of them squaring off. They seem to be on at least a little friendly terms, though certain story elements are quick to change that.
Bandai Namco Entertainment also announced a special Scarlet Nexus livestream, presented by the Japanese voice actors for Yuito and Kasane. The presentation will be streamed on 24th of March, 2021.
