SNK Corporation had announced earlier today that Al-Nassr’s Portuguese soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo will make a bold appearance in their upcoming fighting game, FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves.
As one of the most highly regarded and controversial soccer players in the world having won 34 trophies throughout the span of his career, Cristiano Ronaldo has made appearances in many famous sports games such as EA Sports, the FIFA Series, Pro Evolution Soccer and many more including his own game, Ronaldo: Kick’n’Run Football. To ones surprise, a soccer player debuting in a fighting game filled with fictional anime characters was certainly a wild choice made by the developers.
FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves will be launching this April 24 and will be available to play across platforms such as PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The game will feature recurring characters from the past years of the franchise including newer characters much like Christiano Ronaldo and familiar faces from other renowned fighting games like Street Fighter.
The game will have its second Open Beta test starting from March 26 to 31. This will offer players the opportunity to explore what the game has to give, from its comic inspired art direction to the schematic controls for both newcomers and veterans alike.

In regards to Ronaldo’s past controversy’s and allegations centering the violation of women’s privacy, his appearance in the game may leave the public wondering on the direction of which FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves will take in more years to come. But as of now, fans of the FATAL FURY franchise can only anticipate on the release of the game instead.
