The teased Sangokushi / Romance of the Three Kingdoms title announced for the franchise’s 35th anniversary is Sangokushi Hadou, a mobile MMO strategy game that will be commencing its second closed beta test! This title has Kou Shibusawa’s name attached to it, featuring the vast continent of China drawn on a 3D plane. Players will assume their roles as monarchs to unify the whole of China, as they contest for land, treasure and honour. Players will watch their armies clash into each other in real time as they work to route their opponent, send in reinforcements and more.
The second Sangokushi Hadou closed beta will be accepting 7,000 participants. It will have various improvements from the first test applied, in relation to the game systems, game balance and of course, server load tests. Some of the listed improvements include battery consumption, stabilizing servers, improvements to the user interface and other production related aspects.
The second closed beta will be accepting registrations from 15 June to 22 June, with successful applicants to be informed on 23 June. The test itself is scheduled for 25 to 29 June, though it is also subject to change. Players of the first test will get priority for entry to the second test.
Supported models listed are:
- iOS: iPhone 6s, iPad mini 4 or later modes (iOS 9.0 or above)
- Android: Android 5.0 and above, with 2GB RAM or more
The game is planned for a full launch sometime 2020.
