Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia has announced the launch of the SAND LAND project featuring Akira Toriyama’s original work.
The special video released by Bandai showcases Beelzebub, the main character for SAND LAND through the use of sand art and reveals that more information is coming on December 17th, 2022.
SAND LAND is an original manga by Akira Toriyama about Beelzebub, the prince of demons and Rao, a small-town sheriff. The duo team up to set off on an adventure in search of the Phantom Lake in this desert world where both demons and humans suffer from an extreme water shortage.
The manga series was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump and originally ran on May 22nd, 2000 until August 28, 2000 lasting for 14 chapters. All the chapters were later collected into one volume that was released on November 2nd, 2000 in Japan and December 24th, 2000 in English.
For those who are unaware of it, Akira Toriyama is a Japanese manga writer and artist known for being the creator of the Dragon Ball series as well as co-creating the video game series Dragon Quest.
