The next installment in the highly popular SaGa series, SaGa Emerald Beyond, has now officially launched for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, iOS, Android, and PC via Steam.
As announced by Square Enix, SaGa Emerald Beyond features the best elements of the series, including the free-form scenario system and strategic combat gameplay.
Note that the Steam version will be released a day later, on 26 April 2024, while the iOS and Android versions may have release dates that vary by region.
Furthermore, it is revealed that a physical edition of the game is planned to be available in the Asia region at a later date, with more information to be announced in the future.
This latest entry in the SaGa series see the return of its creator Akitoshi Kawazu, composer Kenji Ito, and illustrator Satoshi Kuramochi as the leading developers.
Celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, Akitoshi Kawazu, SaGa Series General Director, has this to say:
“2024 marks the 35th anniversary of the SaGa series. It also marks the first time we’ve been able to
release a new SaGa title simultaneously worldwide. Without our fans, this would not have been possible. SaGa Emerald Beyond is the product of 35 years’ worth of innovation, experimentation, and
