Fans of the popular animated “Running Man” TV series can register for the beta test of RunningMan Heroes from November 6th until November 26th. The test is open for Android users in Taiwan, Korea and Southeast Asia.
The “Running Man” franchise began as a variety show back in July 2010. The show was classified as an “urban action variety”, a genre which focuses on variety shows in an urban environment. In the show, both the MCs and guests need to complete missions at a landmark to win the race. The show became popular across Asia and gained popularity online among Hallyu fans.
RunningMan Heroes is based on the hit CGI-animated TV series, “Running Man” which was based on the original variety show. The animated series features seven competitors competing against each other, using their abilities to achieve the final victory. The television series was made by Line Friends and Lotus for the Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS).
RunningMan Heroes features several game modes and incentives taken straight out from the show. Players can play as any of the seven playable characters. Each character has their own unique abilities and strengths. In short, players will have to play around their characters to get the best out of them to win the game.
Marquee gameplay features include a six-player multiplayer competition played in real-time across various modes such as Battle Royale and three-vs-three. Participants of the beta test will receive exclusive in-game cosmetics, player icons and chat emoticons.
