Images of two long-rumored Silent Hill projects have seemingly surfaced around the net, one is of a Silent Hill 2 Remake by Blooper Team (The Medium) and another is a playable demo of a brand new entry into the franchise called Silent Hill Sakura.
The Silent Hill 2 Remake pictures were uploaded by Twitter user @the_marmolade. According to reliable survival horror insider Dusk Golem, the images are real and come from an early internal pitch demo which is why they look a little rough.
If that’s not enough, further images have circulated of a Silent Hill project called “Sakura”. According to the leaks, this will be a playable demo similar to P.T the playable teaser for the canceled Silent Hills game.
Sakura seems to have been themed around the pages of a diary, with the key art showing a character with pieces of their face peeling off to reveal a notebook. Further concept art shows corridors and enemies covered in post-it notes.
Unlike the Silent Hill 2 Remake, it has not been confirmed who is developing Sakura. The leaks however say that both games will only be coming to the PS5 (at least at launch).
Rumors of Konami attempting to revive their popular gaming IPs have been heavily circulating over the last few years. Silent Hill in particular has seen reports regarding a Silent Hill 2 remake and a new entry into the series.
Currently, neither Konami nor Bloober Team have commented or confirmed anything in regards to Silent Hill although Konami has said they are planning to announce a new project for one of their IPs at the Tokyo Game Show.
