According to a leak, Attack On Titan will be receiving yet another new chapter 3 years after the end of the manga’s 11-year run.
Although the leaker did not provide their sources, they have a reputable track record in the community, such as correctly leaking the development of an Ousama Ranking Movie and the release date of Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3.
The chapter is scheduled to be released on April 30th, 2024, over 3 years after the conclusion of the manga that ended on April 9th, 2021.
Titled “Attack on Titan Volume 35” it will be 18 pages long, and will be released alongside the upcoming Illustration Artbook.
A chapter of Attack On Titan is typically 40-50 pages long, so being only 18 pages long doesn’t give the new chapter much room to expand on the story.
It is currently unclear what the new chapter will cover, with some speculating it being an expansion on the controversial ending, or maybe even slice-of-life events from the past similar to the OVAs.
Regardless, fans are looking forward to the new chapter, despite the chances of it holding major significance being low as a result of its short length.
Attack on Titan is written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama, with the series premiering alongside the first issue of Kodansha’s monthly publication Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine, released on September 9, 2009, and ending with its 139th Chapter after a 11-year run.
The release date for the Finale of the Attack On Titan anime has also recently been announced.
Netflix has not announced any plans to adapt the new chapter into the anime.
