Recognized industry insider Emily Rogers says that there is another Fire Emblem game that could be coming out in 2022 alongside the recently announced spin-off game Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes.
Rogers, who has a strong track record with Nintendo leaks, has posted to the Famiboards forum saying that she believes that a second Fire Emblem will come out this year, this one being a traditional strategy RPG developed by Intelligent Systems.
“I’ve mentioned before that this game is nearly finished with its development,” she wrote. “IS has had over 3+ years to develop this game, and they received assistance from a support studio.”
Rogers believes that this supposedly new Fire Emblem game may release in October but that it’s possible the game could get pushed back to early 2023.
Announced at the February 2022 Nintendo Direct, Fire Emblem Warriors Three Houses is a Musou spin-off game for the series. It is described as a new story set in the same universe as Fire Emblem Three Houses.
While fans were generally excited to see the announcement of a Fire Emblem Warriors sequel, many were hoping that the next mainline Fire Emblem game would be revealed at the Direct.
Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes will be released on the 24th of June for Nintendo Switch.
