Rumors of an upcoming Resident Evil 2 remake demo has surfaced. According to Twitter user Anthony_Robert, the demo will launch in December and allows players to play as either Leon or Claire.
As the title suggests, Resident Evil 2 is the remake of the original Resident Evil 2. The remake features graphics fit for the current generation of controls. Additionally, it plays as a third-person survival horror like Resident Evil 4 instead of the original’s fixed camera and tank controls. Following its E3 2018 showing, the game won “Best of Show” for the 2018 Game Critics Award. The remake will launch on the 25th of January.
Twitter user Anthony_Robert recently tweeted apparent leaks of a Resident Evil 2 demo. Since then, he has deleted the tweet. However, screenshots of his tweet surfaced regardless. Whether this carries the truth or not, only time will tell if they do.
Currently, Capcom has not mention or given any clarification on the current status of the game. Due to the current circumstances, please take the rumor with a grain of salt. Until any confirmation becomes available, by all rights, the tweets may be totally false. Anthony_Robert’s Twitter account has since set to private. You can check out his Twitter account here.
