Southeast Asian team RSG has won the Predator League 2022 Malaysia Dota 2 Tournament against opponents teams Atlantis and MAG.
This means they have qualified to represent Malaysia in the Asia Pacific Predator League 2022 which will be held in Japan as well as winning a prize money total of RM11,000.
On the second day of the tournament, the matches were Best of 3 matches, with the exception of the Grand Final which was in the Best of 5 formats. First, RSG won against Atlantis in the Upper Bracket Final with a score of 2-1. This was then followed by Atlantis winning against MAG in the Lower Bracket Final with a score of 2-1. The grand champion of the day was not determined before the fifth game ended.
Despite Atlantis representing Malaysia in the 2022 Commonwealth Esports Championships and taking home the gold, after the hard-fought 5 games, RSG proved to be the victor. They came out on top with a score of 3-2 and proved to be the champions of the Predator League 2022 Malaysia DOTA 2 qualifier tournament.
The RSG team consists of Malaysian players mks (Wong Sim An), X1aOyU (Lee Qian Yu), and Roddgeee (Roger Tan Boon Thye), Singaporean player xsilearn (Ng Anwei), and Vietnamese player xiaobonbon (Trần Hoàng Minh Quý).
Congratulations to RSG and each of the other teams that competed in the tournament. We wish the champions the best of luck as they compete in the Asia Pacific Predator League 2022 which will take place in Japan on the 11th of November 2022.
