After Sweden had apparently snubbed The International 10, the event will now be at the Arena Nationala in Bucharest, Romania, as announced via the official Dota 2 website. Accordingly, the dates have also been shifted: Group Stages will run from 7 – 10 October, Main Stage games starting on 12 October, then 17 October will be Finals Day. Information on ticket sales will be available soon, indicating there will be a level of live audience.
Qualifiers to the event have concluded in several regions, with Western Europe and China teams looking to fill the last two slots. You can primarily tune in to those matches on Twitch. Whoever who makes it there will be in the running for their share of the staggering $40,018,195 prize pool.
Perhaps it’s not so surprising to see The International 10 in Romania, as people would be quite familiar with PGL Esports which is based there. We’ll just have to wait on for the details as the event gets put together within the next 3 months.
For SEA fans, you can back either T1 or Fnatic who will hopefully not need to face each other in the group stages. If you want to support teams directly, the Supporters Club is available as well.
