Miniascape of the Happy Elements group has just launched its latest smartphone game, Rolling Sphere for the Android and iOS platforms.
Pick your character, with designs and names based off constellations! It is able to use a device’s gyroscope, providing a more unique action gameplay experience. Characters known as “アストローク” are long-lived. With their ample time, they’re able to compete in the titular “Rolling Sphere”!
From what we were able to muster previously, you can form a party of characters. You can use skills that will consume MP. Party composition can be freely changed, so swap around as necessary. There is no virtual joystick, instead utilizing the tilt of the phone/device. The sensitivity of tilt detection can be adjusted in the game. There will be a tilt sensor that you can keep an eye on, so that you can maintain balance.
Of the three modes, Race mode is pretty self-explanatory. You go up against 2 to 8 people to get first place. Characters with skills to accelerate or “grip” would likely be very important depending on the course. Battle Royale throws you into a field with up to 15 other players and be the last to survive! You will need to have your pre-set team of 3, losing when all are knocked out. The field will narrow over time, and has no walls. Meanwhile, Ball Bout is akin to a soccer game, without offsides. Use your skills to fire at the ball to knock it into the goal, or simply roll it in.
At the end of the day, Rolling Sphere is a gacha game, but it would seem that even the lowest rarity character can still be valuable. They’d also be upgradable to higher rarities, which is always a nice way to reward players who are less than inclined towards spending. You can check out their website and Twitter for more details and information as always.
