Two new dev videos have been released for Rollerdrome ahead of the 16 August 2022 launch via Private Division and Roll7. The videos are age-restricted, so you’ll have to watch them on Youtube.
“Characters & Comic Book Style of 2030” features Character Artist Rachel Cox and Lead Artist Antoine Dekerle sharing their insights on creating the characters and world of the game. Rachel Cox is responsible for all the characters and most importantly, the look of main protagonist, Kara Hassan, explaining her exploration process in creating the serious newcomer to a brutal sport. Antoine Derkele, meanwhile, reveals how comics led him through creating the dystopian world.
We also have cult composer Electric Dragon in “The Sound of 2030”, who shares his key inspirations for merging iconic 1970’s textures and sounds with modern day driving beats. Dive into the game’s 2030 setting through a 1970’s retro-futuristic lens together with the composer.
