The Asus ROG Phone was just revealed a couple of days ago during their Media Event just before Computex Taipei 2018. They had also revealed the specifications of the phone which is powered by a Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 CPU processor with 128/512 GB, 8 GB RAM. The phone also has a 6-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen (1080 x 2160 pixels, 402 ppi) display. It has a Dual: 12 MP + 8MP rear camera and packs in a Non-removable Li-Ion 4000 mAh battery at 8.6 mm device thickness and weight 200g, running on Android 8.1 (Oreo).
Though the expected launch was revealed to be somewhere within this year starting from Taiwan, then mainland China, South East Asia and Japan – and then later on Europe and North America, the price was not revealed yet. Following the prices of such high-end phones released by other brands like the Razer Phone or even the OnePlus 6, they are usually priced at RM 2,800. However because the ROG Phone is a phone specifically made for gaming that comes with the clip-on fan, the Aeroactive Cooler, it could cost about RM 3,000 or slightly more.
Apart from the Aeroactive Cooler, the ROG Phone has other peripherals that are sold separately. Those peripherals like the TwinView Dock, Asus WiGig Dock and the Mobile Desktop Dock are expected to be scheduled for August or September. They will be sold in bundles so it will be packaged to a specific need depending on what users need.
*Do note that these are just speculations based off the pricing of the latest phones with pretty much the same specs. This does not confirm the exact price of the ROG Phone at all.
