ASUS ROG Malaysia has announced a new lineup of gaming products for Q3 2019 onwards during the “Be Unstoppable Launch 2019” event today. The lineup includes the innovative ROG Mothership and the compact ROG Huracan, while a new colour option – Glacier Blue will be available for Zephyrus S GX502 and Strix G G531 in Malaysia soon too! Here are the details.
ROG Mothership GZ700GX
Serving as the future of desktop replacement, ROG Mothership give the cooling system unrestricted access to airflow at the back by standing tall instead of lying flat on a desk. The keyboard is detachable and foldable, so you can freely position it to your desired stance. Detaching the keyboard also reveals a row of four speakers that aimed directly at the user, creating an effective sound bar right beneath the display.
The upright design improves airflow and lets ROG shave down the chassis without sacrificing speed. It is very slim at only 29.9mm mostly thanks to its CNC-machined body. The machine is having an ultrafast FHD panel refreshes at 144Hz with a 3ms response time too.
ROG Mothership GZ700GX will be available for Malaysia in mid-July at RM26,999. You can find more information about the product here.
Glacier Blue
The latest ROG laptops will be soon arriving with a new colour option – Glacier Blue, which is inspired by ROG’s this season’s focus on Intelligent Cooling. The new colour comes in a wintery look at first glance that becomes surprisingly saturated upon closer inspection. This specific shade has a silvery sheen in the light, making it appear paler and more polished from a distance.
Its brighter appearance helps mask fingerprints and blemishes too. Bolder blue tones jump out when up close or in darker environments, providing a shot of colour along with more contrast for RGB lighting.
Glacier Blue will be available on Zephyrus S GX502 and Strix G G531 late August for Malaysia, at RM8,899 and RM3,899 respectively.
ROG Huracan G21
ROG Huracan G21 has a unique magnetically-secured side cover that sets it apart from other gaming desktops. Opening the side cover increases airflow into the system for better cooling, and triggers internal sensors that boost CPU and GPU performance while activating integrated Aura lighting effects. The extra airflow provides the cooling needed for its high-performance components, so you can play games at the highest settings.
It is also powered by up to the latest 9th Generation Intel Core i9 processor with up to 32GB of DDR4 2666MHz memory, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 graphics. Other than these, Huracan features up to a 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD and a 2TB HDD. A 2TB HDD with Intel Optane Memory technology is available too.
The compact 13-litre chassis of Huracan is inspired by cyber-warrior and cyberpunk themes, which you could see an angular design with sharp creases that symbolize a warrior’s battle scars. Maintaining and upgrading key components is easy thanks to the sliding side panels. It has a hot-swap 2.5-inch SSD bay as well.
Huracan G21 will be available in August at RM11,999 or RM6,299 depending on its specs. More information available here.
