Rockman X Dive gameplay teaser goes live

If you don’t already know, it would appear that there is a new Rockman game in the horizon, but before you get too excited, this is a straight to mobile release. Of course, this is not to say you should brush this off immediately, even though Capcom appears to be putting some effort into this.

Mobile ports of the Rockman series have been forgettable for the most part, and Capcom is trying once again with Rockman X Dive. The game will see the return of both X and Zero, as you relive your memories of previous Rockman X games. This is being marketed of having some sort of meta plot that makes it a spinoff of sort, rather than an outright Rockman X title.

The teaser posted above highlights some of the mechanics of the game, particularly its combat and the auto lock system to suit mobile devices. Familiar faces appear in the character select screen, including Ultimate Armor X, Axl, Zero and Marino. This all-star concept isn’t particularly new per se, as Capcom has done it before all the way back in the Game Boy era. Either way, it would be interesting to see how this game fares when it comes out.
