BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment announced the release date for the rhythm mobile game, World Dai Star: Yume no Stellarium, which will be officially launching on 26th July 2023, coming to iOS and Android.
World Dai Star is a mixed-media project featuring stories written by Takahiro, known for his work ‘Yuki Yuna is a Hero’, and characters designed by Mika Pikazo.
The anime television series adaptation of the same name aired from April to June of this year, produced by Lerche.
The project is set in the 20th century, where brilliant performers known as “dancer” brought about a worldwide phenomenon in the theaters, leading many young aspiring actors to want to become “World Dancers”, a title only attainable by the pinnacle of talents.
Gameplay
World Dai Star: Yume no Stellarium is a rhythm mobile game where players can select dancers and singers from a large group of talents.
The game will featured two primary game modes – performance mode and story mode.
In performance mode, selected talents will dance and perform to the many original tracks featured in the anime series as players taps to the rhythm.
On the other hand, story mode allow players to explore the game’s overarching narrative expanded from the anime’s lore.
World Dai Star: Yume no Stellarium also featured Shooting and Viewing modes, allowing players to watch and snap photos of the girls during their on-stage performance without the anxiety of losing.
Furthermore, players can also take photos of the talents in their day-to-day life.
Additionally, the game will feature unlockable posters that can enhance the talents’ abilities during rhythm gameplay and stats to guide players where they struggle.
Story
The story will focus on protagonist Ootari Kokona, aged 16, pursuing her dream to become a “World Dancer”.
Ootari Kokona auditioned for the theater company Sirius, which she has dreamed of joining.
There, she will meet with people possessing bright talent, determination, and passion for performing arts.
She will explore the her hidden “sense” in pursuit of her dreams, standing on stage overflowing with light.
Pre-registration Campaign
Pre-registration campaign for World Dai Star: Yume no Stellarium is currently ongoing.
The game’s pre-registration campaign has surpassed 300,000 players as of currently, and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment aims to hit a 500,000 pre-registered player milestone.
Upon hitting the milestone, players will receive 3,000 Jewels and 10 Actress Gacha Tickets as gifts.
