Sega has just announced that its upcoming Re:Zero mobile game, Re:Zero – Lost in Memories is now open for pre-registration. A special live-stream for the game was broadcasted earlier, featuring the voice actors for the game.
However, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, all participants recorded audio from home to exposit details on the game conference-style. Among other things, the game incorporate turn-based combat, where users will be able to form teams from a pool of characters from the series. Each character will have their own skill tree and level.
As previously reported, Re:Zero – Lost in Memories features an “IF” story, so basically, diverging from the canon story. At present, the game appears to be following the anime’s story, with the relevant splitting paths becoming game original story in the mobile title. There may also be its own storyline as well, which should become clearer as more information is released. The scenario is supervised by the series’ original author, Tappei Nagatsuki, so look forward to that! The game itself a time-based action RPG where you can select up to a party of five. Each character will have three attacks and each of them will have cooldown depending on which attacks you choose.
Besides expecting the use of Live2D, in keeping with the “IF” story, there will be dialogue branches at various intervals to see another side of the story. Naturally, we don’t know how far the divergence will be, so we’ll have to wait to see how that works. Be sure to drop by the official website for updated details and information.
