Re:Zero announces new mobile title, Re:Zelos

Re:Zero will be having a mobile title, currently known as Re:Zelos. Besides having a few screenshots and the staff list, there is scant information regarding this title.

However, from what we can gather, this is an “IF” story, so basically, diverging from the canon story. At present, the game appears to be following the anime’s story, with the relevant splitting paths becoming game original story in the mobile title. There may also be its own storyline as well, which should become clearer as more information is released. The scenario is supervised by the series’ original author, Tappei Nagatsuki, so look forward to that!

It looks like we might be able to expect the use of Live2D. It looks like there’ll be dialogue choices, though of course, we don’t know how far they might actually affect the game. It’s dubbed an “ADV-RPG”, or adventure RPG.

“Re:Zelos” is currently the tentative title for this Re:Zero mobile title, so we’ll see what its official name might be in the future. The game is set for a 2020 release, presumably within Japan only. Keep an eye out on the official Twitter if you’re interested!
