The world of musical-based combat just got that much smaller with the announcement of the Revue Starlight Symphogear collab coming to Revue Starlight ReLIVE.
The collaboration starts 16th February, and will be available to players of the Japanese version of the game. No word has been
Unlike previous collaborations which usually feature the main girls, this Symphogear event will feature Tendo Maya and Saijo Claudine, who are shown in their own Symphogear-style outfits to mark the event.
They’ve also shown off special Memoir cards featuring them and the characters from Symphogear, which will likely give bonuses when used in the game’s event stages.
Revue Starlight’s setting has always been particularly good for fantasy-themed crossovers like Symphogear, as the premise allows any “story” to come to life in the same “Stage” that the show’s revues take place in.
Considering Symphogear is no stranger to music, it’s unknown if the event will also feature the addition of Symphogear music, similar to how last year’s Hatsune Miku collab added music by Vocaloid producer DECO*27.
During the livestream announcing the collaboration, they also announced commemorative towels featuring card art of the various Revue Starlight girls.
Symphogear is a popular magical girl franchise, known for its gripping plot and big musical numbers. Symphogear XD Unlimited is their most recent mobile game featuring the characters, with the English version having been shut down.
