The upcoming Revue Starlight stage play, Edel Delight, will feature overseas streaming to allow fans from around the world to catch the new play.
This paid livestream is literally a stream of the stage performance, and you’ll be able to choose between a single-camera experience (like if you’re watching it live) or a multi camera experience.
The streams will start from February 18th, and you can buy your tickets from the event website.
Considering how hard it’s been to catch the Japan-only stage plays for overseas fans, it’s a good sign that Bushiroad is letting them catch the upcoming Revue Starlight Edel Delight.
That being said, there are a few catches: for one, the stream is, in all sense of the word, a live stream of the stage play. You’ll still need to tune in at the right time and there will be no VOD if you come in late. However, the VOD will be available until March 5th after the event.
Secondly, the website makes no mention of any kind of closed captions, so don’t be surprised if you can’t catch a word of what anyone’s saying if you don’t speak any Japanese.
Finally, the streams are only available in selected territories. According to the website, here are the countries who can tune in to the live stream:
Australia, Brazil, Canada, HongKong, Indonesia, South Korea, Macao, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States
